LIST-0051Level 5: Academic and Professional Speaking Skills
In this advanced speaking course, learners will improve their speaking fluency for post-secondary success. Students will demonstrate academic level speaking skills to confidently produce fluent and organized presentations, discussions, and summaries on a range of topics, while using a variety of communication strategies. Students will apply speaking skills in group work contexts, including sharing information, preferences, and opinions, clarifying information, and managing turn-taking, disagreements, and problem-solving. Learners will demonstrate an advanced range of multidisciplinary vocabulary, expressions, and complex grammatical structures to their speaking.
