EAPP-0500Communication for Technical Professions
In this course, students will prepare for the language demands of technical academic programs. Students will develop technical vocabulary through reading textbooks, articles, and documents, and listening to presentations, lectures, and workplace meetings. Students will develop and demonstrate speaking skills to deliver technical presentations, discuss challenges, recommend solutions, and resolve conflicts. Learners will strengthen writing skills through workplace task practice such as emails, reports, and technical documents. Students will participate in experiential learning opportunities and authentic experiences to develop both their communicative and intercultural competence for success in technical academic programs and workplace contexts.
