During this course, students will learn the theoretical principles and practical procedures underpinning the removal and replacement of major structural, functional, and non-functional parts of vehicles. Topics include safety, manuals, tools, and old technology versus new technology in terms of metals, methods of repair, frame construction, and quality control. In the practical component of this course, students will integrate theoretical knowledge with the skills required for practical applications. Tasks include performance of skills in areas such as safety procedures, removal and replacement of major structural, functional, and non-functional parts, frame construction, tool use, metals, methods of repair, and quality control.
