EALN-1049Language Foundations for Healthcare
This course supports learners at the CLB 4 level in developing foundational English language skills while introducing key concepts related to healthcare in Canada. Students will strengthen their grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, and communication strategies, while developing competencies across listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Alongside language development, learners will gain a basic understanding of the Canadian healthcare system, explore a range of healthcare career options, and learn about pathways to health-related programs at RRC Polytech.
Designed for future healthcare professionals, this course is ideal for CLB 4 learners who wish to enhance their language and communication skills while being exposed to essential healthcare knowledge. It is also suitable for internationally educated healthcare professionals (IEHPs) at the entry level who are preparing for the Communication for Health Professions (CHP) program in order to meet the English language requirements for admission into health-related programs at RRC Polytech.
