Indigenous traditional knowledge systems are embedded in community practices, ceremonies, and relationships between Indigenous peoples and the natural environment.
These systems are dynamic, holistic, intergenerational, and linked to experiences with the land. This course focuses on Indigenous worldviews and ways of knowing as strengthened and maintained by Indigenous leaders and community members.
Through experiential learning opportunities, students will be introduced to Indigenous cultural and ceremonial practices that will deepen their understanding of the knowledge and values rooted in Indigenous communities.
