SAFE-1019Occupational Health & Safety

This is an in-depth safety course as applied to power engineering. Students will learn principles of workplace safety, which encompasses not only relevant legislation, WHMIS, First Aid, confined space entry and safe work practices, but also the various types, function and care of personal safety equipment. As well, students will gain an appreciation of the impacts, personal, financial, social, and legal of workplace injuries. This is an in-depth safety course as applied to power engineering.
