FULL-TIME | WINNIPEG LOCATIONS OUTPF-CT Outdoor Power Equipment Technician

Who Should Enrol?

Good hearing and eyesight, good physical coordination of the whole body, and some strength are needed in outdoor power equipment technician work. You should have no respiratory difficulties and no physical handicaps that would prevent you from lifting 50 pounds on a regular basis and 100 pounds occasionally.

Because the work can be intricate, you should have good finger dexterity and be mechanically inclined. You will need a tolerance for working with grease and oil, and for exposure to various levels of exhaust fumes, dust, and dirt. Reading comprehension is important to successfully complete the required related courses: English, math, and science.

If you are seriously considering a career as an Marine and Powersports Technician, you should be prepared for some shift work and be able to work under some supervision. You should be prepared for occasional late shifts at the College as courses may, from time to time, run until 6 p.m.
