Your success in finding and keeping a job as a Health Care Aide will depend on your ability to communicate effectively with employers, clients and coworkers.
The focus of this course will be on the language, culture and communication for Health Care Aides in the Canadian health care context. This communication course will help you develop the competencies required to effectively communicate in the role of Health Care Aide. As well, this course aims to teach the tools and skills necessary to prepare students to successfully compete in today’s competitive job market. Through relevant listening, speaking, reading and writing tasks you will have the opportunity to build language skills and intercultural competence to be applied in a practical setting.
