DCSP 2023-2024 Schedule

Each academic course is scheduled 3 hours per week across a 15 week term.

All academic course locations will be offered as a blend of on-campus and online unless otherwise indicated.

Although it is not a pre-requisite, it is recommended that you take DCSP-1021 prior to, or while taking other DCSP courses.

Please note that the following schedule may be subject to change.

Fall 2023 Term (August 28 - Dec 8)

Year 1 (certificate) Courses
  • COMM-1173 Communication Strategies. This course is offered college-wide so students have a variety of time options to choose from. For students attending the Disability & Community Support Program full-time, to avoid timetable  and practicum schedule conflicts, they are advised to register for a time on Mondays after 11 am.
  • COMM-1174 Academic Writing Any synchronous class time will be scheduled Tuesdays 9-10 am.
  • DCSP-1020 Employment & Disability. Any synchronous class time will be scheduled Tuesdays 10 am -12 pm.
  • DCSP-1021 Values & Issues in Disability Studies. Any synchronous class time will be scheduled Mondays 9-11 am.
  • DCSP-1022 Supported Community Living. Any synchronous class time will be scheduled Tuesdays 1-3 pm.
  • PRAC-1090 Practicum 1 Scheduled accordingly (practicum location: in a community placement).
Year 2 (continuing to diploma) Courses
  • DCSP-2030 Augmentative & Alternative Communication. Any synchronous class time will be scheduled Fridays 9 am -12 pm.
  • DCSP-2032 Inclusive Education. Any synchronous class time will be scheduled Thursdays 1-3 pm.
  • DCSP-3002 Conceptual Frameworks in Disability Services. Any synchronous class time will be scheduled Thursdays 10 am -12 pm.
  • DCSP-3003 Applied Literacy. Any synchronous class time will be scheduled Thursdays 9-10 am.
  • DCSP-3005 Advocacy & Disability. Any synchronous class time will be scheduled Fridays 1-3 pm.
  • PRAC-3090 Practicum 3 Scheduled accordingly (practicum location: in a community placement).
