A general introduction to presentation graphics. It will provide a good working knowledge of PowerPoint using a hands-on approach. The course is structured to provide skills from simple to complex through a series of exercises that mimic real world application. You will progress from using existing templates to preparing black and white and colour overhead transparencies, to custom designing their own master slides and finally to creating electronic slide shows with a variety of transition effects. Concomitant features of presentation software will be included, for example use of the outlining, drawing, charting and table tools. You will practice advanced techniques such as "dig down" programming and inclusion of scanned images as well as sound, graphics, animation and video clips.

Introduction to Microcomputers, and a typing speed of 20 w.p.m.
