GENI-9031Ecosystems and Rare Species
Learn about the major ecosystem types present in the south Interlake – where they are, what processes sustain them, what species they support. Explore why some of these ecosystems and the species that depend on them are now uncommon. A day-long field trip to significant ecological places will allow students to explore the south Interlake’s unique and varied ecosystems, view some rarely seen species, and discuss the threats to these natural habitats and the ways that they can be conserved.
