The Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (R) Program is a safe, non-harmful behaviour management system designed to aid human service professionals in the management of disruptive and assaultive people, even during the most violent moments. It has been developed by the Crisis Prevention Institute, a training organization devoted to training staff in the safe management of potentially violent individuals.
FALL 2022:
First day of workshop (Saturday) will be online through LEARN & Webex - theory
Second day of workshop (Sunday) will be on campus in the classroom - physical interventions
It is recommended that students confirm they can log in to their student HUB account before the course start date.
REQUIRED: CPI Workbook - Students will not be able to complete the course without the workbook. The workbook will need to be purchased in advance through the RRC Campus Store (closed on weekends & holidays).
You will receive a signed certificate (card) in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention upon successful completion. (This is the blue card in the workbook.)
