ABOR-1051Aboriginal History & Life Skills

You will learn life skills for self, family, job and native studies.  The goal of this course is  to assist students in becoming a balanced self-determined individual who is mindful and respectful of others, one who can communicate effectively and be balanced in the four aspects of self:  spirit, emotional, physical, and mental quadrants.  This approach supports the holistic approach to education.  Also, the behaviours related to historical intergenerational unresolved trauma will be covered including colonization, intergenerational effects of residential schools, land-based trauma, and lateral violence.
