CADD-1005AutoCAD Fundamentals
This course introduces students to the knowledge and skills necessary to produce 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD computer aided design (CAD) methods. Students will gain an understanding of construction and engineering drawing conventions, annotation methods, scaling and the fundamental tools and techniques using Autodesk AutoCAD software. Furthermore, students will examine how to add and modify objects, text, dimensions, hatching and blocks through the completion of moderately complex, two-dimensional working drawings using both imperial and metric units. This course is a prerequisite for
CADD-1015 AutoCAD Intermediate.
Each of the three AutoCAD micro-credential courses award an official RRC Polytech digital badge that can be shared on social media, with a fourth badge awarded for completing all three of the micro-credentials.
