TRAD-9045Intro to Electric Vehicle Technology

The Intro to Electric Vehicle Technology course has been specifically designed to prepare technicians for the in depth training of Electric vehicle systems and diagnostics. This electrical hands on course is required because of the electrical knowledge and diagnostic skills required for working safely and confidently on today’s electric vehicles. Beginning with terminology and safe work practices, this 2 module, 10 day course covers electrical and electronic fundamentals, battery technology and charging methods, regenerative braking as well as data communications.

After taking the Intro to Electric Vehicle course, the technician will have a firm understanding of electrical, electronics, DVOM operation, battery and electrical safety and electrical diagnosis. This course will provide the strong electrical foundation and skills required for technicians to successfully maintain and diagnose electric vehicles.

This course includes both theory and practical instructional methods.
