RRC has established English language requirements to help ensure you have the communication skills required to be successful in your RRC academic program.
To determine if you meet English language requirements, answer the following question:
Have you successfully completed three years of high school (secondary) education in Canada, the United States, or an ELR exempt country where English was the language of instruction?
If YES, it appears you meet English language requirements. Submit your high school (secondary) transcripts for review.
If NO, you must submit proof of meeting one of English Language Requirement (ELRs) options listed below within 30 days of applying.
Note: non-graduates who completed all of their education in Canada, the United States, or an ELR exempt country in English but did not graduate high school should submit their transcript for review within 30 days of applying.

If you are applying to a program listed in the Important Exceptions chart below that indicates only ELR option 4 is acceptable. |
2. Manitoba high school diploma including two credits of English 40S | Graduation with a Manitoba high school diploma. Successful completion of a minimum of five credits at the grade 12 level, including two credits of English 40S. Minimum average grade of 75% for the two credits of English 40S |

3. Two years full-time post-secondary education | Successful completion of a minimum of two years (or the equivalent of two years) full-time post-secondary education:
You must have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.0. The post-secondary institution must be a recognized/accredited or publically funded institution in Canada, the United States, or an ELR exempt country. See RRC’s list of ELR exempt countries below. |
Submit your transcript(s) or If the admission requirements of the program you are applying to indicate confirmation of enrolment is accepted, submit confirmation of enrolment in second year post-secondary. Your final transcript must be received by July 15. |

4. Approved English language assessment | Approved assessments and required levels are listed on the English Language Assessment webpage of the program you are applying to. Visit www.rrc.ca/catalogue. Your assessment results must be dated within the two years prior to your application date. |
We strongly advise you successfully complete the assessment before submitting your application to ensure you meet language requirements. Submit proof of completion of an approved English language assessment at the required levels within 30 days of applying. Do not submit your academic transcript(s) until you receive e-mail confirmation from RRC that you have met English language requirements. |
Most of the programs listed below accept only ELR option 4 Approved English language assessment to meet ELRs. Check your program’s approved English language assessments and required levels at www.rrc.ca/calendar before applying.
